The Adaptation (No-thing me-lanch-oly ’bout us)Six French soldiers are getting drunk in the General Mobilization Office of a small village in France (or an old sound stage of the former DDR). It is 1940 and the Germans seem to have won the war. Waiting to become prisoners of war the French soldiers experience a serious identity void - they are no longer soldiers, they are yet to be prisoners and their former occupations seem like distant dreams
